I now have close to 40 apps on my iPhone.  I think I need to start deleting some of my unused ones.  I’m not going to be that guy who has like 100+ apps, the majority of which go unused.  I should just delete all my excess radio apps.  All I really need is Pandora and SiriusXM.  Do I really need AOL Radio, Slacker, and I <3 Radio?   Then there’s the units/measurements converter, mapquest, shopping list, facebook, twitter, wikipanion, dictionary and other stuff.  I would say most I “need”, as they’re useful in the right situation.  Kinda like a Swiss Army Knight.  Only 100 times more nerdier.  I might ditch mapquest though, it’s fairly useless when you have the google maps app.

I came across this randomly while looking up information about honey (I was curious about something).  There’s some good tips in there, and also illustrates how we’re too dependent on all these drugs that we take every day.  We should be taking natural stuff, utilizing more holistic methods, etc.  It’s an interesting read.

Well that didn’t go as well as I wanted it to.  Back to square one it seems.

‘Nuff said.

My “official” Thursday horoscope -

Somebody new in your life is a mighty bright light. Why don’t you give them a kiss?

I like that.  Good advice.

By Monday I was pretty damned stoked about getting my iPhone, and my friends at work could clearly see it.  They also called me crazy because I downloaded 20+ apps, made ringtones, wallpaper, and had all my stuff ready to go.  That’s not crazy right?

The rest of the week was painful to get through, because anticipation was running high.  Wednesday I finally, FINALLY, get my qdoba card, after asking for probably what seemed like 3 months.  We pretty much go there every Wednesday because it’s double points.

Then the boss leaves Wednesday night for somewhere, and it looks like he’ll be out for most of next week, if not all week.  Friday comes, I get my phone around 11am.  Apple promised delivery on the 19th if you ordered by a certain date (which I did, ordered mine on the 9th, which was the day after the announcement. :) ).  Activation took all of 5 minutes, if that, and the number port was completed after about 20 minutes or so.  All in all, a very painless experience.  I didn’t get that much work done on Friday, as you can imagine.  Went home for lunch to upload all my apps, ringtones, music, etc, and synced my contacts with my computer.  Friday was indeed a great day.  Oh yea, and I went to see The Hangover, and had a good second date.  Good time.

My iPhone was ordered on the 9th (from the online apple store), and according to the site, I could very well have it on Friday (oh holy crap).  So, in preparation for this wondrous event, I made a checklist.

Case.  Check.  Switch Easy Rebel serpent, arrived yesterday in the mail.

Wallpaper.  Check.  Have my phone wallpaper ready to go.

Apps.  Check.  Downloaded 20+ apps and ready for awesome.

Ringtone.  Check.  Main ringtone made, still need to make my text message sound though.

I would say I’m about 90% ready for awesome right now, can’t wait.

So let’s see, I had a week off from work (a staycation as Susan and others called it, which was awesome btw), come back play catch up, then I’m out sick on thursday, and sign up for twitter yesterday.

What.

Yea, I broke down and created a twitter account.  God help me.  But – it’s for research!  Yea, that’s it.  Trying to investigate new forms of media and see what I can apply to our websites at work.  I imagine I’ll be on twitter a lot more once I get my iPhone.  And speaking of which…

Tomorrow is Apple’s keynote, which means new iPhone announcement, woot!  I’m still going to have to wait another month though, since they’re not going to be available right off the bat.  Rumor says it’s going to be called iPhone Video.  Works for me.

Is totally completely freaking hot.  Perfect body, hair, face, everything.  She’d be the #1 choice on any of my "lists".

I really need to start posting more, I’m losing my streak.  Either that or stop playing so much TF2.  I’m off all this week and it couldn’t have come at a better time.  I’m tired, burnt out and I need a week’s rest.  So far, so awesome.  Nothing but R&R.  Saw Terminator earlier today and I play on seeing Angel’s and Demons tomorrow.  Beyond that, I don’t plan on doing anything. :)
